Charity Wood is originally from Tennessee. She attended Vanderbilt University, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology for her undergraduate studies.After witnessing unequal access to justice and want to help usher in change, she decided to attend Georgia State University College of Law. She was awarded the Dean's Scholarship. During her time studying at Georgia State University, she interned multiple organizations catering to underprivileged communities including the Georgia's Innocence Project and the Clayton County's Public Defender's Office.
